The article examines how the May 1898 uprising in the Andijan district of the Fergana region, led by Dukchi Eshon against the colonial oppression of the Russian Empire, and its bloody suppression by colonial administrators, are portrayed in the materials of the "Turkestanskiy Sbornik" (Turkestan Collection). The focus is on analyzing the perspective from which these events are presented in the collection's pages.
