This research article assesses the impact of digital technologies and digitalization in general on the development of modern criminal procedural practice. Digitalization has become a prevailing trend, and its importance in the activities of every participant in a criminal investigation cannot be ignored. The Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established a legal framework for working with digital evidence; however, questions concerning the inadmissibility of certain types of evidence collected using digital technologies remain insufficiently clarified. Certain practical difficulties must be taken into account when identifying inadmissible evidence, as its general form may not initially arouse suspicion, while its content may indicate that it was obtained by illegal means or by methods not предусмотренные criminal procedural law. Overall, the article presents general theoretical conclusions regarding the need to improve criminal procedural practice related to digital evidence in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
