This scientific article analyzes the concept of politeness in English and Uzbek discourse, with an emphasis on the influence of cultural and linguistic differences on the adaptation of politeness strategies in each language. Politeness is a key aspect of communication that varies significantly across cultural and linguistic contexts, resulting in unique patterns of social interaction. The article discusses in detail the methods of expressing politeness: from indirectness in English to straightforwardness in the Uzbek language. The methodology used is described and the main scientific findings are analyzed, demonstrating the diversity of approaches to politeness depending on the linguocultural context.
