This article examines the role of spirituality in people’s lives, the important part the older generation plays in fostering spirituality among young people, and how youth raised in extended-family structures can contribute more effectively to societal development by drawing on global experience. It also considers the effects of contemporary globalization on efforts to nurture young people’s spirituality.
