This article uses the finite difference method to study the stress-strain state of a rectangular plate with a central horizontal crack under plane stress conditions. An equivalent isotropic linear elastic model of ordinary concrete and fiber-reinforced concrete is adopted as the plate material. Horizontal and vertical displacements are chosen as the primary unknowns. The strain components are determined using first-order derivatives of the displacements, and the stresses are determined using Hooke's law.
