This article uses the finite difference method to study the stress-strain state of a rectangular plate with a central horizontal crack under plane stress conditions. An equivalent isotropic linear elastic model of ordinary concrete and fiber-reinforced concrete is adopted as the plate material. Horizontal and vertical displacements are chosen as the primary unknowns. The strain components are determined using first-order derivatives of the displacements, and the stresses are determined using Hooke's law. On the crack surfaces, normal and shear stresses are assumed to be zero. The calculated results show the occurrence of concentrations of normal stress, shear stress
