This article addresses the problem of torsion in a cylindrical rod subjected to thermomechanical effects. The aim of the study is to investigate the distribution of stresses and deformations under the combined action of torque and temperature gradient using the finite difference method. The developed mathematical model includes equations for shear stresses and thermal deformations, as well as applying the principle of superposition to determine the overall stress in the rod. Based on the numerical solution conducted for specific parameters, graphs depicting the distribution of temperatures and shear stresses along the radius of the rod are presented.
