This academic article analyzes the essence, developmental stages, and contemporary challenges of the education system. The research established the integral link between education and the socio-economic development of society. The effectiveness of reforms implemented in education system of Uzbekistan was evaluated, and their positive outcomes were highlighted. Concurrently, existing problems in the sector were identified, such as a shortage of qualified personnel, overcrowded classrooms, and educational inequality. Factors influencing the enhancement of educational quality were analyzed, and their significance was determined. Scientifically-grounded proposals and recommendations were developed to address these existing problems. The article also substantiates the necessity of applying innovative approaches and international experience to improve the education system.
