Music and dance, among the greatest achievements of human intellect, have reached the pinnacle of their development in the territories of present-day Uzbekistan. The Sogdian historical and cultural state formation, an important geographical and political center of Central Asia, particularly its capital Samarkand, has long been one of the main hubs of ancient Eastern musical art.
