DEADLINE-AWARE COMPUTATION OFFLOADING METHOD FOR DEPENDENT TASKS IN MEC-ENABLED NETWORKS

Finding optimal offloading decisions for dependent tasks with multiple objectives and hard deadlines in resource-constrained mobile edge computing networks is a challenging problem. The solution to this problem is essential for latency-sensitive real-time applications. The objective of the problem is to complete the task within the deadline while minimizing energy consumption on the smart mobile device. We propose a combination of the fuzzy logic technique and the NSGA-III algorithm to solve the problem. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the random and MOPSO-based methods.
