The article presents a theoretical analysis of the separation of impurities from cotton particles under the action of spring-mounted spikes. The cleaning efficiency is evaluated based on the time-dependent variation of the masses of the cotton particle and the contained impurities. The reduction of the cotton particle mass and the impurity separation process are described using differential equations, and their analytical solutions are obtained. Graphical analysis demonstrates that the intensity of impurity separation is directly related to the oscillatory motion generated by the spring-mounted spikes.
