This article analyzes the legal foundations and practical aspects of prosecutorial oversight in enforcing legislation related to the use and protection of water resources in Uzbekistan. The author evaluates both national and international frameworks, emphasizing the need for a new Water Code. The role of the prosecutor’s office in monitoring legal compliance, addressing violations, and improving water management policies is highlighted. The article concludes that robust legal instruments and oversight mechanisms are essential to ensure efficient, lawful, and sustainable water use in the country.
