Диверсификация производственной деятельности фермерского хозяйства подразумевает увеличение и изменение видов сельскохозяйственной продукции, производимой фермерским хозяйством, внедрение новых видов производства с целью повышения эффективности, получения экономической выгоды и предотвращения банкротства. Использование термина "модернизация" применительно к техническим устройствам, машинам, технике и технологическим процессам ослабило внимание к его другим значениям. В частности, модернизация как постоянный и непрерывный процесс отражает развитие социально-экономических отношений, историко-философское, техническое и технологическое развитие, происходящее в рамках закономерностей диалектического развития человеческого общества.
