Annotatsiya

This article is devoted to the practical investigation of the causes behind the spontaneous and random breakage of automotive glass, particularly thermally tempered rear windows. The study utilized glass samples known to be prone to self-destruction. Modern diagnostic tools were employed to measure residual stresses at the glass edges. Over 15 samples were analyzed, some of which exhibited stress levels approaching critical thresholds. Furthermore, comparative thermal tests were conducted to evaluate the performance of different heat-resistant materials used in reinforcing glass assemblies. The findings suggest that optimizing thermal processing parameters and selecting materials appropriate to the glass geometry are key to minimizing the risk of spontaneous breakage. These results provide valuable insight for improving the manufacturing process of advanced automotive safety glass and enhancing durability and safety standards in the automotive industry.
