The article examines the historical and legal aspects of the formation and development of parliamentary oversight in the Republic of Uzbekistan. A detailed analysis of the evolution of legal foundations and institutional mechanisms is conducted through the lens of the main stages of parliamentary development. Four key stages in the historical and legal development of parliamentary oversight are identified, with their characteristics and trends described. The study establishes that the development of parliamentary oversight in Uzbekistan occurred gradually and led to a significant expansion of the parliament's supervisory powers.
