This article examines the development of creative abilities, stemming from the unique feature of the human brain to not only adapt to the environment but also transform it. The biological basis of creativity is analyzed, and the ineffectiveness of the traditional "trial and error" method in teaching creative problem-solving is highlighted. The main focus is on reviewing and exploring the potential application of heuristic methods such as "brainstorming," "control heuristic questions," "inversion," "synectics," as well as associative techniques in students' educational and creative activities, particularly in the field of technological education. A step-by-step model for employing heuristic methods in solving technical problems is proposed, along with examples of effective techniques that stimulate creative thinking. The stages of applying heuristic methods to solve technical creativity challenges are outlined. The article emphasizes the importance of consciously applying heuristic approaches to foster the innovative potential of future specialists.
