This article, based on a new approach, examines the ability of students in higher pedagogical institutions to acquire knowledge and provide scientific justification for it, as well as the methods and tools that facilitate the acquisition of scientific knowledge. Specifically, it analyzes the role of learning situations, their types and classification, the relevance of learning situations in the process of knowledge acquisition, and the methods that help students master both theoretical and practical aspects of scientific activity.
