This article comprehensively examines the evolutionary stages of pedagogicaltheory and modern conceptual approaches applied in the education system. The fundamental basesand empirical results of digitalizing the educational process, competency-based, and learnercentered methodological approaches in improving learning efficiency are analyzed.
