This article highlights the didactic potential of non-traditional visual art techniques in developing creative thinking among children in preschool educational institutions. The study substantiates the development of creative components such as originality, flexibility, fluency of ideas, and reflection through the use of innovative methods, including finger painting, monoprinting, collage, and working with natural materials. In addition, the methodological algorithm for applying these techniques and the conditions for their effectiveness are analyzed. As a result, it is determined that non-traditional visual art techniques serve as an effective didactic tool that transforms visual activity into a creative process.
