The twenty-first century is often called the century of information technology, as its role in our daily lives becomes increasingly intense. With technology being widely used in all areas, its impact on the world of crime is unprecedented. Simply put, there is a high probability that you could become the victim of a criminal located several thousand kilometers away. This can happen simply by viewing an infected picture, file, or video online. This article explores the concept of cybercrime and its level of social danger. It also examines the extent to which our country's criminal legislation regulates these criminal activities. In addition, both theoretical and practical aspects of the topic have been considered, leading to the drawing of key conclusions.
