The article provides a comparative legal analysis of foreign and CIS criminal legislation concerning liability for violations of traffic safety and vehicle operation rules. International legal standards, national approaches and prospects for improving the criminal legislation of Uzbekistan are examined. The study identifies effective foreign legal mechanisms aimed at ensuring road safety and proposes recommendations for their implementation into national legislation.
