This research focuses on the implementation of the institution of testimonial immunity in the criminal procedure of Uzbekistan. The article examines the concept, essence, and types of testimonial immunity, along with identifying the range of subjects who may be granted such immunity. Proposals for integrating the institution of testimonial immunity into Uzbekistan's legislation have been developed. The potential positive and negative consequences of implementing this institution have also been considered. Based on the research, the necessity of incorporating testimonial immunity into the criminal procedural legislation of Uzbekistan has been substantiated, with specific proposals presented. The article highlights the role of testimonial immunity in protecting human rights, preserving family values, and safeguarding the interests of professional secret holders. Additionally, it outlines precautionary measures for implementing this institution and suggests ways to prevent potential abuses. The research findings are intended for specialists in criminal procedural law, legislators, and the broader scientific community.
