This article examines the conceptual foundations for enhancing the exportpotential of regions, including its formation stages and development trends. The study exploresthe economic essence of export potential from the perspectives of classical, neoclassical, andmodern economic theories, and substantiates its relationship with regional development factors.Export potential is interpreted as a complex system comprising production resources,infrastructure, innovation capacity, institutional environment, and the level of integration intoglobal markets. The paper analyzes the evolution of export potential from a resource-based modelto an innovation-driven and competitive model. Furthermore, key directions and mechanisms forimproving regional export potential under conditions of globalization and digital transformationare identified.
