This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the concept of regional exportpotential, as well as the stages of its formation and evolutionary development. Within theframework of the study, the economic essence of the category of export potential is examined fromthe perspectives of classical, neoclassical, and modern economic theories, and its interrelation withthe factors of regional development is substantiated. In particular, regional export potential isinterpreted as a combination of complex factors, including production resources, infrastructure,innovation capacity, institutional environment, and the level of integration with external markets.The article examines the step-by-step evolution of regional export potential, identifyingtrends in its transition from an initial resource-based model to an innovation-driven andcompetitiveness-oriented model. It also analyzes new manifestations of export potential in thecontext of globalization and digital transformation, including aspects related to the production ofhigh value-added goods, the development of logistics systems, and the expansion of serviceexports.
