The article describes the development of a regression mathematical model to evaluate the thermal performance of a parabolic trough solar collector (PTC). The model accounts for key factors such as solar flux density and coolant temperature and is built using the least squares method to minimize discrepancies between measured and predicted values. The resulting model provides high-accuracy predictions of PTC thermal power under various climatic and operating conditions and can be used to improve forecasting accuracy and optimize PTC operation, thereby enhancing overall energy efficiency.
