In this article, the authors describe the pottery vessels found in the ancient Shamozor cemetery in the lower reaches of the Govasay River. Special attention is paid to the geographical features, decorations, and shapes of the spherocones, which are common in Muslim countries. The article attempts to provide evidence for the specific functions of these vessels, citing divergent scholarly opinions about their uses. Given that the findings include mercury cups, the article also aims to clarify their purpose through comparative analysis based on medieval texts. Along with a detailed description of the vessels' dimensions, the article provides information on the variations observed in soil composition.
