This article analyzes the innovative activities carried out in Uzbekistan’s railway transport sector during 2020–2024. The research results show that innovation processes in the sector have been largely confined to technical directions, while financial and organizational mechanisms remain underdeveloped. The innovative developments within the structures of JSC “Uzbekistan Railways,” their funding sources, efficiency, and impact on transport infrastructure have been evaluated. In addition, based on factors such as the deterioration of the passenger wagon fleet, the level of digitalization, and the low participation of the private sector, proposals and solutions have been developed.
