The article presents an econometric analysis of the dynamics of the main performance indicators of railway transport in Uzbekistan in the context of national economic development and the expansion of foreign economic relations. The interrelationships between the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan, foreign trade turnover, export-import transportation, and freight transportation indicators of railway transport are examined. Special attention is paid to identifying the degree of influence of macroeconomic factors on railway freight volumes, as well as assessing their dependence using econometric analysis methods. Based on the developed models, the main trends in the development of the industry are determined, and the key factors significantly affecting the efficiency of railway transport operations are identified. The obtained results make it possible to substantiate promising directions for improving the country’s transport and logistics system and increasing the competitiveness of railway transport under modern conditions.
