The article examines the systematic integration of internal league competitions into basketball training and educational activities at youth sports schools. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 55 coaches in Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, and Gulistan. Sixty percent of respondents had organized an internal league at least once. The main reported barriers were insufficient funding (78%), inadequate facilities and equipment (65%), and limited time (55%). Within the DIM/1+7 methodological approach, 12 competition formats were systematized, and organizational and pedagogical criteria for selecting them were identified. The findings informed recommendations on integrating internal leagues into training programmes, planning competition schedules, and broadening young basketball players’ competitive experience.
