Applying learning theories in school physical education: challenges, solutions, and improvement strategies

Annotatsiya

This article examines the pedagogical foundations for applying learning theories in school physical education. Behaviourist, cognitive, constructivist, and learner-centred approaches are compared in relation to motor skill acquisition, learner motivation, feedback, and assessment. A theoretical review of Uzbek and international literature identifies methodological challenges in lesson planning, differentiated instruction, skill teaching, and assessment. A six-stage integrative lesson-design model and practical recommendations are proposed. The study is conceptual and literature-based; the proposed model has not been evaluated in a separate pedagogical experiment.
