Development of judo in Uzbekistan: statistical indicators, systemic challenges, and solutions

Annotatsiya

This article examines the institutional and organizational development of judo in Uzbekistan using publicly available official information on sports education institutions and participation. The 2022–2025 targets established by Presidential Resolution No. PQ-286 of 20 June 2022 are distinguished from observed statistical outcomes. The analysis addresses regional infrastructure, coaching qualifications, athlete selection, the participation of girls and women, medical and pedagogical supervision, and statistical reporting. Differences in the coverage of official sources and the limited availability of judo-specific outcome data are highlighted, followed by practical recommendations for improving monitoring.
