This article analyses the interrelationship between the principle of progressive instruction, individualised teaching, and pedagogical assessment in athletics education from a scientific and methodological perspective. A five-stage teaching model is proposed for organising the acquisition of running, race walking, jumping, and throwing techniques. The model encompasses initial assessment, instruction in fundamental movements, exercises adapted to individual needs, application of acquired skills in varied conditions, and reassessment of outcomes. The discussion addresses movement-technique assessment criteria, safety, and the educational value of video analysis and feedback. Potential applications of the model in school physical education and the professional development of teachers and coaches are considered.
