The article examines Article 14 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan as an object of linguo-logical expertise. Theprovision is analysed through linguistic decomposition, inferential reconstruction and determination of the deontic status of thenorm. The analysis identifies terminological diffusion, syntactic scope ambiguity, referential discontinuity and a mismatch in thescope of the criteria for abuse of law.
