The belt and road initiative and its impact on the countries of central Asia

Annotatsiya

This article examines the impact of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on the economic, transport-logistics, trade, energy, and investment development of the Central Asian countries. Particular attention is paid to the role of the initiative in the implementation of infrastructure projects, the development of transport corridors, the expansion of regional trade and economic relations, and the growth of investment flows. The study also analyzes the influence of BRI projects on the foreign economic relations, transit potential, and economic diversification of Central Asian states. The findings demonstrate that the Belt and Road Initiative has become an important factor in the development of transport infrastructure, expansion of trade and economic cooperation, and strengthening of regional connectivity and integration in Central Asia.
