This article analyzes the artistic and psychological interpretation of female characters in Shuhrat Matkarim’s short stories “Gulsum,” “Boljon,” “Before and After,” and “The Girl with Glasses”. It explores how the inner lives of these characters are revealed through the use of portraiture, internal monologue, artistic detail, and psychological parallelism.
