The article analyzes the cultural and linguistic aspects of the concepts of time and workin English. It examines the association of work with strict time boundaries in English culture, the historicalroots of work ethics, particularly the influence of Protestant work ethic. The unique cultural connotationsand communicative functions of time and work terms in English are also explored. Through this study, thearticle investigates not only the communicative but also the cultural and sociological dimensions of theconcepts of time and work, thereby highlighting the interaction between language and culture. The researchfindings contribute to a deeper understanding of the role and significance of the concepts of work and timein the English cultural context and linguistic analysis.
