The article examines the rapid development of information and communication technologies in the Republic of Uzbekistan in recent years and the associated risks arising from the exploitation of digital opportunities, originally created to facilitate citizens’ access to information, by extremist and terrorist organizations for recruitment purposes. The author notes that these organizations primarily recruit individuals by distorting the meanings and interpretations of Islamic concepts such as takfir, hijrah, jihad, caliphate, and martyrdom. The article also addresses the use of several foreign languages in propaganda activities and the involvement of ideological mentors in conducting such activities.
