This article analyzes the geostrategic position of Central Asia and the South Caucasus in the contemporary international relations system using a comparative political approach. It provides a comparative examination of the two regions’ geographical location, natural and strategic resources, transport and communication potential, relations with external political actors, and distinctive features of their security environments.
