This article examines the legal foundations and institutional characteristics of prosecutorial supervision of compliance with legislation in the preschool education sector. It provides a comparative legal analysis of the mechanisms employed in selected European countries to ensure compliance with legal requirements in preschool education, protect children’s right to education, supervise the activities of preschool education institutions, and address identified violations. The study also examines the powers of prosecution authorities in the education sector, the forms and methods of prosecutorial supervision, and mechanisms for cooperation with other state supervisory and regulatory bodies. Drawing on the experience of selected European countries, the article develops proposals and recommendations for strengthening legality and improving the effectiveness of prosecutorial supervision in Uzbekistan’s preschool education sector. The findings may contribute to strengthening the protection of children’s rights and legitimate interests, improving compliance with preschool education legislation, and enhancing the institutional mechanisms of prosecutorial supervision.
