This article analyzes current issues in the legal regulation of cross-border disputes involving the use of artificial intelligence systems in international commercial arbitration. It provides a scholarly examination of emerging types of disputes arising from the rapid integration of artificial intelligence technologies into international commercial relations, including legal issues related to smart contracts, malfunctioning AI systems, data protection, intellectual property rights, and the allocation of liability. Furthermore, drawing on the UNCITRAL Model Law, the New York Convention, the practice of international arbitral institutions, and the legislation of foreign countries, the article analyzes contemporary approaches to resolving disputes involving artificial intelligence through arbitration. The current version of Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On International Commercial Arbitration” is examined, existing legal gaps are identified, and legislative proposals are formulated to regulate the consideration of disputes involving artificial intelligence systems in cross-border commercial relations within international commercial arbitration.
