This article presents a detailed description of the research results aimed at the identification and quantitative determination of sodium citicoline, one of the main active substances in the “Britinon” infusion solution obtained by a synthetic method, using a spectrophotometric (SP) method. During the study, the authenticity of sodium citicoline was confirmed, its analytical characteristics were investigated, and the applicability of the spectrophotometric method for the analysis of this medicinal product was evaluated. In addition, the metrological characteristics of the applied analytical method, including accuracy, repeatability, selectivity, and sensitivity, were studied, and the obtained results were statistically processed. The reliability and reproducibility of the method were confirmed experimentally. Based on the obtained data, the effectiveness of the spectrophotometric method for the quantitative determination of sodium citicoline in the “Britinon” infusion solution, as well as its applicability in practice, was substantiated. The results of the study indicate that this method can be used in the quality control of medicinal products and can be recommended for inclusion in regulatory and technical documentation.
