Annotatsiya

This article presents the long-term results of a study on the dynamics of changes in the total microbial count (TMC) and coliform bacteria (CB) indicators in drinking water across the districts of the Bukhara region. The TMC indicators in drinking water in 2025, compared to the baseline period, were minimal in the Gijduvan and Alat districts and maximal in the Peshkun district and the city of Bukhara. The long-term dynamic of drinking water quality deterioration by 2025 is characterized by an increase in the contamination levels of drinking water with CB in almost all districts of the Bukhara region. The highest levels of drinking water contamination with coliform bacteria are observed in the Romitan and Gijduvan districts, respectively. Overall, the quality of drinking water based on microbiological indicators in the studied districts of the Bukhara region does not meet the requirements of O'zMSt 133:2024 "Drinking Water. Hygienic requirements and quality control."
