The development and evaluation of novel agents with antipyretic activity remain a priority in experimental pharmacology, particularly with regard to the development of safe and effective therapeutic strategies for the management of febrile conditions in prepubertal individuals. Experimental models of fever provide a reliable approach for assessing the antipyretic efficacy of investigational compounds, determining the duration of their pharmacological action, and comparing their therapeutic potential with that of established drugs used in clinical practice. The study was performed on prepubertal laboratory rats weighing 60–75 g. Experimental fever was induced using a yeast-induced pyrexia model by subcutaneous administration of a 20% suspension of baker's yeast at a dose of 1 mL/100 g body weight. The investigational drug, CelAgrip, was administered intragastrically as a single dose 6 hours after pyrogen administration, corresponding to the peak of fever development. CelAgrip was evaluated at doses of 10, 25, and 50 mg/kg. Ibuprofen, administered intragastrically at identical doses, served as the reference drug. Rectal temperature was recorded before pyrogen administration, 6 hours after fever induction, and subsequently at 1-hour intervals for 3 hours following treatment. The findings demonstrated that CelAgrip exhibits significant antipyretic activity comparable to that of ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug widely used in pediatric practice. The observed pharmacological activity suggests that CelAgrip may be considered a promising candidate for further preclinical and clinical investigations aimed at assessing its efficacy and safety in the management of inflammatory diseases accompanied by fever, including its potential use in pediatric practice.
