This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic significance of the cytokines IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-10 for the early prediction of severe COVID-19. The study included 98 patients with severe COVID-19 and 40 healthy individuals in the control group. Cytokine concentrations were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and their predictive value was assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. The results demonstrated that the area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.922 for IL-6, 0.852 for TNF-α, and 0.905 for IL-10. All biomarkers investigated showed high sensitivity and specificity and were statistically significant (p < 0.001). The findings indicate that IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-10 are important biomarkers for the early prediction of severe COVID-19. Their combined assessment may facilitate the timely identification of high-risk patients and contribute to optimizing clinical management and treatment strategies.
