Relevance. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the main causes of incurable blindness and visual disability among adults. A number of scientific studies are being conducted to effectively prevent and treat DR, but issues related to methods for preventing the progression of DR have not been sufficiently studied. Purpose of the study. To study the effectiveness of drug prevention of diabetic retinopathy progression in patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy based on clinical, functional and biochemical parameters. Materials and methods.A total of 87 patients (n=174 eyes) with type 2 diabetes were examined. All patients with mild and moderate NPDR were divided into 3 homogeneous groups of 29 patients (n=58) depending on the drug treatment: I - control group, 2-A and 2-B main groups. Results and conclusion. The conducted studies revealed negative dynamics of the FAZ, Perifovea DCP, lower hemisphere "INFERIOR HEMI", Vsist blood flow in the ZKCA, BDNF and VEGF parameters in the SF after the course of traditional treatment. Positive results were obtained when studying the parameters of OCT-A, UZODG, BDNF and VEGF against the background of taking calcium dobesilate and Semax 0.1% above the initial values. Analysis of the results of the study showed high efficiency of drug prevention in patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
