Annotatsiya

Relevance. Dry eye syndrome (DES) has increasingly attracted the attention of ophthalmologists worldwide in recent years. DES is a multifactorial disease, the incidence of which has increased 4.5 times over the past 30 years and currently affects more than 15% of the population of developed countries. The social significance of CCS is explained by its widespread prevalence in different countries of the world (Lee A. et al., 2002; Moss S. et al., 2000; Viso E. et al., 2009). Egorov E.I. (2004) dry eye syndrome occurs in approximately 45% of primary visits to an ophthalmologist, but the disease is masked by other diseases (chronic blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, etc.). If in the 1980s DES accounted for 30% of visits to primary health care, then in recent years every second person visiting an ophthalmologist faces these complaints.
