Purpose. To determine emotional and personal disorders in the examined patients with chronic cerebral ischemia, to evaluate their characteristics in different age groups. Materials and methods. The data of a study of 170 patients with HCG (cerebrovascular pathology) (men (M) – 84/49.4%, women (W) – 86/50.1%) on the background of hypertension (GB) and atherosclerosis, aged 44-74 years (mean age (SV) 58.8±1.3 years) were studied. The neuropsychological profile was assessed using the Spielberger-Hanin anxiety Scale (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory – STAI), The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale –Anxiety – HADS-A) and depression (Depression – HADS-D), the Beck Depression Inventory Scale (BDI), Montgomery- The Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale –MADRS), the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (Z-SDS), and the subjective Asthenia Assessment Scale (MFI–20). Results. The article presents the main mechanisms of development of chronic cerebral ischemia and features of neuropsychological manifestations. The data of our own observation and the evidence base on personality and emotional changes in middle-aged and elderly patients with CHIGM based on hypertension and atherosclerosis are presented. The results of the study are compared with a group of practically healthy people of proportional age. Conclusions. The study found that with increasing age, there is an increase in the severity of changes in the neuropsychological profile in patients with CHIGM.
