Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has an incidence of 25 per 100,000 population per year, regardless of gender and ethnicity. The work assessed clinical and neurological criteria for the formation of encephalopathy and the development of cognitive dysfunction in patients with comorbid conditions, in particular diabetes mellitus, and optimization of treatment methods It has been proven that the clinical course of encephalopathy in CKD is aggravated in the presence of concomitant pathology and can become the main reason for the development of psycho-emotional changes and a decrease in the patient’s quality of life.
