This paper analyzes the increasing incidence of CHEM and its prevalence factors such as aging population and vascular disease. The benefits of ICT in medicine, including telemedicine, electronic records and wearable monitoring devices, are reviewed. It is noted that these technologies increase access to care, improve prognosis, reduce hospitalization rates and contribute to improved physical and emotional well-being of patients, reduced anxiety and increased social engagement.
