Annotatsiya

Back pain is a variety of pain syndromes that develop against the background of pathological changes in the spine of varying severity. The prevalence of back pain is extremely high: according to statistics, up to 80% of people experience pain in the lower spine of varying intensity during their lifetime, and chronic back pain is detected in about a third of the population. The annual incidence of back pain in developed countries ranges from 5.0 to 7.0% of the adult population [43]. In domestic medical literature, the term "back pain" is traditionally associated with a number of nosological forms designated in the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (ICD-10), such as "lumbar osteochondrosis", "dorsopathy", "dorsalgia" and "radiculopathy". Dorsopathies (codes M40–M54 according to ICD-10) are a large group of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, mainly accompanied by pain syndrome. Etiologically, dorsopathies can be caused by both non-specific degenerative-dystrophic changes in the spine, paravertebral muscles and ligamentous apparatus, and specific lesions, including tumors, metastatic processes, traumatic injuries and infectious diseases.
