Annotatsiya

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic systemic autoimmune inflammatory disease characterised by destructive joint involvement and functional deficiency. In recent years, along with immune mechanisms, the important role of metabolic and hepatic regulatory systems in the pathogenesis ofRA has been established. In this article, the clinical, pathogenetic, and diagnostic significance of the important hepatocin - fetuin-A, synthesized by the liver, in rheumatoid arthritis was analyzed. The results of literature and clinical studies have shown that the level offetuin-A is closely related to disease activity (DAS28), immunological aggressiveness, joint destruction, and secondary osteoporosis associated with RA. Fetuin-A was assessed as a promising biomarker reflecting immunometabolic disorders in rheumatoid arthritis.
